Problem solving of low-e glass:
There are two kinds of low-E glass: online low-E glass, offline low-E glass and online LOW-E glass. Low-E glass is limited by the large-scale production of float glass. At present, there is only one kind of low-E glass which is 6 mm thick.
Off-line low-E glass has a variety of varieties. According to the different climatic characteristics, it can produce high, medium and low transmittance products, and the colors are silver gray, light gray, light blue and colorless transparent. Colored glass can also be used to produce green and other colors. Thickness can be made from 3 to 12 mm. It should be noted that:
1. On-line Low-E glass will withstand high temperatures close to the glass softening point during tempering, at which time the color of the film may change, leading to chromatic aberration. In addition, on-line low-E glass tempering is film tempering. The existence of film makes the heating asymmetry on both sides of the glass. The tempering process is difficult to control, which may cause a series of problems such as large tempering deformation. The off-line low-E glass is tempered and then coated, there is no problem. In order to avoid the above toughening problem of online low-E glass, some people use online low-E glass as the inner sheet of hollow glass, and put the toughened transparent glass on the outside. This usage will not only affect the effect of low-E glass in the south, but also aggravate the stress spot of tempered white glass on the outside by enlarging the inner low-E glass. In contrast, placing tempered off-line Low-E glass on the outdoor side is not a problem.
2. The off-line low-E glass film of low-E glass monolith is soft and oxidizes slowly when it is attacked by moisture and some oxidizers.
3. On-line Low-E glass is "hard coating" with a shelf life of 30 years. Off-line Low-E glass is "soft coating", and the film has poor firmness and can hardly be preserved bare.
4. Off-line Low-E glass must be processed into hollow glass in a very short time, and the edge coating must be removed when the hollow glass is composed. Due to the weak breathing effect of hollow glass, water vapor, sulfide and oxide entering the cavity will lead to the gradual loss of thermal insulation performance of off-line Low-E glass, and the appearance will become dark, discolored, and a large number of mildew spots will gradually appear.
