What is Low-E glass?
Low-E glass is coated with one or two or even three layers of silver film by vacuum magnetron sputtering to reduce energy absorption or control energy exchange between indoor and outdoor, to ensure the comfort of life and work, and to achieve the purpose of environmental protection and energy saving, also known as low-radiation glass.
Advantages of Low-E Glass
1. Warm Winter and Cool Summer
(1) The use of Low-E glass can achieve the effect of "warm winter and cool summer". It has excellent thermal insulation and thermal insulation effect, and can reduce the heat transfer caused by the difference between indoor and outdoor temperature.
(2) Reduce the transmission of far infrared radiation energy indoors and outdoors, and allow solar radiation to enter the room as much as possible, so as to maintain indoor temperature and save the cost of heating and air conditioning.
2. Better optical properties
LOW-E glass has good optical properties. Low-E glass has a high transmittance of visible light in sunlight, which can reach more than 80%, while the reflectance is very low, which makes its optical properties greatly improved compared with traditional coated glass.
3. Low radiation
The emissivity of ordinary float glass is as high as 0.84. When silver-based low-emissivity film is coated, the emissivity can be reduced to less than 0.1.
